Make more of your pictures! Even if the fully-automatic function in a good digital camera does prevent almost anything from going wrong, some few tricks can make your photos more exciting, more lively and more interesting.
The main subject of the picture need not necessarily be in the middle of the photo - quite the opposite in fact. The example shows how you can divide up your picture optimally.
Just imagine that your picture is divided into zones by two vertical and two horizontal lines (as shown in the example).

Each one of these lines is a perfect location for important elements in the picture - and each one of the four intersection points is a perfect spot for the main subject.
